Its Time !!
The New Partner Platform is performing very well and its time to retire the old affiliate platform and XML feeds.
NOTE: ALL active Partners have already been migrated to the new Partner Platform — no changes are needed unless you still utilize the old Affiliate XML feeds or old iframes.
As we have mentioned since August 2008, we will auto-migrate all active Affiliate accounts to the new Partner Platform by mid-January — due to the sunset of the Affiliate platform. This process is now complete.
Due to upgrades in content systems, the old Affiliate platform and old XML feeds will not be supported as of 10 March 2009. Please use the Partner Platform and Partner XML feeds moving forward — see below for more information.
Again, don’t worry - Old affiliate-based links you have on your website have -already- been redirected (by Viator) to your Partner site.
Benefits of the new Partner Platform:
- MUCH improved user interface for customers
- Additional features and functions — including customer reviews
- New site customization options and more !
All traffic from your old Affiliate site has been redirected to your new Viator Partner site. Your Viator Partner ID number has not changed. However, there are steps you need to take to ensure the migration is complete.
New Partner Home Page: (replace 9999 with your three or four-digit Viator Partner ID/AUID number):
http://www.partner.viator.com/en/9999
New Partner Admin Site for website settings and marketing tools:
http://www.partner.viator.com/partner/home.jspa
Important Reminders:
- We have added several options (ie. CSS, secure graphical banner, etc) to better customize your Viator Partner site — please make sure your Viator Partner site matches the look and feel of your site as much as possible to ensure the highest sales conversion. HTML Headers did not migrate and need to be updated.
- Affiliate-based iFrame Widgets do -not- redirect, you need to replace these with Partner versions (Located under Marketing Tools => Widgets)
- Reports: Past bookings made on the Affiliate platform will be reported on the Affiliate Admin site, future bookings made on the Partner platform will be reported on the Partner Admin site. However, you will receive one combined commission payment from both platforms.
- SUBAUID users should use the new SUBPUID function for correct reporting.
- XML users will need to use the new and enhanced XML feed located in the Partner Admin Site (Marketing Tools => Links and Feeds). We also now offer CSV feeds as well.
Ready to get started? Log into your Partner account on the Partner Admin site using your Partner ID/AUID and current password.
